Baby kittens!
Mornin’ cat lovers,
Since almost everybody loves kitten photos (and if you don’t, why are you reading this??), I thought I’d post one of Roja and Blanca’s baby pictures. They are much larger now, as you’ve seen. This was before I got the new camera with the red-eye feature, so poor Blanca looks like the Demon Cat from Hell! Oh well, we know better, right?
By the way, all of our current cats were either rescued from the wild or adopted from “kill” shelters. Help save some cats and baby kitten’s lives, and adopt from a “kill” shelter!
Purrs and head-butts,
roja, blanca and the gang

Bobbi, I hope you don’t mind that when I come to your blog I don’t read a lot of your posts, because I’ll get jealous about all your cat adventures. (I dont’ have a cat anymore) But, I look at all the great pictures! heh
.
My favorite cat that I had was “rescued”. We were camping at a camp ground and a small grey kitten kept coming by our site. My dad kept chasing her away, but she kept coming back. So after I begged a whole lot we took her home. She turned out to be THE BEST CAT EVER.

Cyndi, I’ll bet there will be lots of them this spring at your local shelters. Usually in March and April here the shelters are overloaded. We had a tough time when we got Roja and Blanca, because there literally were hundreds of others to choose from. So sad! However, these two jerked at my heart because they were sickly, and sisters. I could NOT let anyone break them up!

Hi Paul,
What a sweet story!
That’s OK, don’t be jealous. I’ll give these six a kiss for you.
Our two calicoes were rescues, too, and were just sitting at the side of a country road, out in the middle of nowhere, just waiting for ME.

Bobbi, you’re so cruel! Now I want a new cat too, but I can’t as my landlord won’t let me
Some friends of mine used to go caravanning alot, and a small cat just basically attached itself to them one holiday and wouldn’t go anywhere, so they took it home. It was such a lovely cat, mild mannered and great.

Bobbi,
Good to see your site.
I can’t have a cat now because one of my children is allergic. We used to have three — before her allergy was discovered. Argh.

Hi pari,
thanks for the note. I’m actually slightly allergic to cats, too, but deal with it. It’s harder on kids, though.
